Since its inception, Classic Home Care's mission has been to serve Southeast Michigan with care that is aimed at promoting health, well-being, and quality of life. Our patient base has prompted us to develop “specialty” home care programs that respond to our patients' needs. Classic Home Care is able to provide specialty services in the following areas:

Diabetic Care

Our Managing Senior Diabetes Program was developed to respond to our diabetic client’s specific needs. We offer one of the most comprehensive diabetic home care programs in the Southeast Michigan area and have invested in state-of-the-art technology to help your patients retain as much mobility and lifestyle as possible.

​Besides the nursing care we provide, our diabetic program includes:

  • Equipment and supply ordering

  • Therapy to increase circulation

  • Treatment of diabetic foot ulcers

  • A copy of our ‘Managing Diabetes Guide’

  • Counseling and teaching on dietary needs

  • Vital signs monitoring with special attention to blood sugar

  • Assistance dealing with depression

Wound Care

Pressure-related chronic wounds such as diabetic neuropathic foot ulcers and pressure ulcers are an important health concern that affects many patients. Classic Home Care takes the treatment of pressure ulcers and chronic wounds very seriously. To provide better care to these patients, Classic Home Care utilizes some of the newest technology available. PictZar is an example of a revolutionary new medical software program that Classic Home Care has invested in that helps clinicians more accurately measure and track the progress of wound healing. The PictZar technology virtually eliminates the potential for human error in wound management and progress tracking.

Hallmark of Excellence: Nurses trained in Wound V.A.C. technology  Classic Home Care's nursing team includes nurses who have been trained in the use of the Wound V.A.C. system, a technology that helps patients realize improved outcomes for a variety of chronic and acute wound types including pressure ulcers, diabetic wounds, abdominal wounds, partial-thickness burns, trauma wounds, flaps and grafts.
